Philadelphia Entrepreneurs Benefit from Course on Business Networking Two dozen future business leaders came together to the Baiada Center for Entrepreneurship in Technology for an intensive week of competitive analysis, product ideation, capabilities assessment, and pitch development. Their task? "To create a new product offering for the Tasty Bake Company," expained Mark Losciavo, Executive Director of the Baiada Center. Participants began with a plant tour of Tasty Bake, and then returned to the Baiada Center to form teams and begin their assignments. Each team collaborated to produce a business brief and presentation supporting the introduction of their proposed product. Fundamental business concepts were given due consideration, such as:
The Camp Start-up faculty included: Dr. Dona DeCarolis, Bill Ringle, Angelo Devita, Rich Freedman, Esq., Ms. Stacy Kline, James Kohler, Ms. Jamila Payne, Dr. David West, and Mark Loschiavo. The high school juniors and seniors then presented their plans to a formal panel of judges. Charlie Pizzi, CEO, Tasty Baking Company, headed up the panel. In addition to serving as a faculty to Camp Start-up, Bill Ringle also contributed to the instructional design and planning of the week.
